SAN FRANCISCO — Hunter Pence is the kind of player who will run through a wall for his San Francisco Giants teammates. He came close Tuesday night in the sixth inning of NLDS Game 4 against the Washington Nationals. Jayson Werth tagged a pitch to the right-field wall. Pence gave chase. He jumped. He crashed. He caught it. And upon further review, he wagged his tongue like he was Michael Jordan. Here's another view: AT&T Park was electric after the catch. Giants pitcher Ryan Vogelsong thrust his fist into the air. And this dude right here was soooooo relieved. #Giants Fan OMG Face pic.twitter.com/KWqKAa1eUu — Cork Gaines (@CorkGaines) October 8, 2014 Pence's catch helped preserve the 2-1 lead the Giants were clinging to at the start of the seventh. A win, and they advance to the NLCS to play the St. Louis Cardinals . More MLB coverage from Yahoo Sports: - - - - - - - Mike Oz is an editor for Big League Stew on Yahoo Sports. Have a tip?
