Wet basepaths at the Giants' bay-side ballpark caught the eye of Kansas City manager Ned Yost, even if they didn't dampen the Royals in a World Series win on Friday. "I thought it was a little extra wet around first," Yost said Saturday, adding that he'd noticed third baseman Mike Moustakas coming up "extremely muddy" from a dive back to first base. If that was the Giants' plan, it didn't stop the Royals from edging San Francisco 3-2 in game three. Kansas City won without attempting a steal and took a 2-1 Series lead into Saturday's fourth game of the best-of-seven set.
