It's a time-honored tradition — making a video-game version of famous baseball moments. We've seen Kirk Gibson's World Series homer recreated using "R.B.I. Baseball," same with Bill Buckner in Game 6 of the 1986 World Series . The end of Game 7 of this year's World Series doesn't rank as high historically at those moments (not in the immediate aftermath, at least). But you can't blame a San Francisco Giants fan for making an "R.B.I. Baseball" version of their third World Series win in five years. This recreated the bottom of the ninth and syncs it to the radio broadcast. It's from YouTube user "Giants Fan" and it's meticulously put together. I wondered how he or she would recreate the Alex Gordon single-turned-triple . The verdict? Not bad. The 8-bit Giants look about as confused as their real-life counterparts. One more thing: Watching a video-game version of a real baseball game certainly drives home how slowly the game can move. There's a whole lot of downtime.
