After much speculation and several helpful hints, the folks involved MLB: The Show unveiled the cover man for their 2015 video game on Friday. Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig got the nod, joining the likes of Miguel Cabrera, Andrew McCutchen and Joe Mauer as recent players bestowed with the honor. It's here! Intentional or not, that was pretty clever marketing by Puig. That said, Puig's star power, personality and the controversy that often surround his antics are strong enough on their own that any company looking to market a baseball related product would be wise to consider Puig's likeness.
