No journalist has covered more San Francisco Giants games than Peters, a San Francisco native and San Jose State graduate, who tended the baseball beat for 47 years while writing for the Berkeley Gazette, Oakland Tribune, Sacramento Bee, San Francisco Chronicle, Sports Illustrated and The Sporting News.
