When James Shields signed a four-year, $75 million deal with the San Diego Padres this offseason, he reportedly turned down an $80 million offer from the San Francisco Giants. Apparently he wanted to continue learning Madison Bumgarner's ways from the opposing dugout. The top starters from the World Series meet again Saturday night with Shields making his home debut in the third of a four-game set, though Bumgarner seems unlikely to relinquish the spotlight. "Bumgarner helped carry us to a championship last year," Giants manager Bruce Bochy told MLB's official website.
