One of the fireworks smokestacks at Great American Ball Park caught fire and spewed dark smoke for an inning on Friday night until firefighters extinguished it during a game between the San Francisco Giants and the Cincinnati Reds. Fans in two sections by the smokestacks were evacuated while firefighters extended a ladder from outside the ballpark and sprayed the fire. A flame continued to flicker from the top of one of the smokestacks, giving off a dark smoke that drifted across the outfield as the game continued.
