Hints emerged Friday that Giants right-hander Jake Peavy, who's striving to overcome a lower back strain, may have to slow down his recovery from the injury that has limited him to a pair of early-season starts. Giants manager Bruce Bochy observed that Peavy, who turns 34 on Sunday, was enduring some back tightness.
