The Arizona Diamondbacks are out the playoff picture in 2015 , but they figure to be a factor soon because of players like A.J. Pollock. The 27-year-old outfielder is enjoying a true breakout season on both sides of the field. Offensively, Pollock is batting .316/.364/.495 with 17 home runs, 67 RBIs, and 35 stolen bases over 142 games. He's been the catalyst atop the NL's highest scoring team. In fact, his 99 run scored rank fourth in the majors. On defense, he's proven to be a solid anchor in center field with a reel that seems to grow by the week. And yes, that even includes this week. During Friday's 2-0 win in San Francisco, Pollock made the play of the night in MLB, robbing Giants outfielder Jarret Parker of a sure home run. Perhaps it was even the play of the entire week.
