Jeremy Affeldt has reached the end of his big league road. Affeldt, a veteran reliever who has pitched in the Major Leagues since 2002, announced Thursday that he will retire at season's end. Affeldt, who has been with the Giants since 2009, will hold a news conference this afternoon.
