The Giants announced on Wednesday that their five-year contract with free-agent right-handed pitcher Jeff Samardzija was finalized. The sides agreed to the deal on Saturday. Financial terms were not disclosed. Samardzija will be introduced during a news conference today at 12:30 p.m. PT at AT&T Park.
