Matt Cain opens the Giants' series Thursday against Rockies left-hander Chris Rusin, who earned the decision in Colorado's 10-6 victory April 13 over the Giants, pitching 2 1/3 innings of shutout relief. After two more long-relief outings totaling 7 1/3 scoreless innings, Rusin moved into the starting rotaton and continued to put up zeros.
