First, we start with a game you need to know about. Eight players took the field behind San Francisco Giants ace Madison Bumgarner on Sunday, but he was the only one who mattered. Bumgarner did everything during a 1-0 win against the Chicago Cubs. Bumgarner walked two and struck out six during the outing. That wasn't all. Bumgarner also contributed with the bat. In the bottom of the fifth inning, Bumgarner drove in a run on a double against Cubs starter Kyle Hendricks. It wound up being the only run of the game. Bumgarner was the sole reason for the Giants win. It didn't look like things would be that easy early.
