Giants fall in heartbreaker to end season

For the second straight year, the Cubs are headed to the National League Championship Series, and they got there the hard way. After being held to three hits in the first eight innings, Ben Zobrist, rookie Willson Contreras and Javier Baez each contributed in a ninth-inning rally to post a 6-5 Cubs victory over the Giants. The Giants can put the calendar away. They won the World Series in 2010, '12 and '14, but their attempt at a "Believen" season in '16 is over.
