Nunez, Kontos, Smith agree to 1-year deals with Giants

Keeping Eduardo Nunez healthy and in the lineup could mean so much for San Francisco's infield and its chances. Nunez reached a $4.2 million, one-year agreement with the Giants on Friday to avoid arbitration. Right-handed reliever George Kontos received a $1.75 million contract and left-hander Will Smith earned $2.5 million as the club announced all of its arbitration-eligible players had reached new deals.
