Slater’s Homer Helps Giants End Seven-Game Skid

Trailing 2-0 in the eighth, rookie Austin Slater hit a three-run homer to propel the Giants past the Braves 6-3 on Tuesday night.The Giants added two more runs in the inning to take a 5-2 lead. After the Braves got one run back in the bottom half of the inning, Brandon Belt clubbed a solo homer in the top of the ninth.Mark Melancon came on in the bottom of the ninth and closed the game out.Photo Credit: Getty Images
