Giants’ Posey Named Starting Catcher for NL All-Star Team

SAN FRANCISCO — Not much has gone right for the Giants this season, but for 84 games, Buster Posey has been a consistent positive. On Sunday, he was rewarded.Posey was selected as the National League's starting All-Star catcher for the third consecutive year. The All-Star selection is the fifth overall for Posey, who is the lone representative for a team that has played much better of late, but remains at the bottom of the standings.
