Giants’ Bumgarner Slated to Make Two Rehab Starts in SJ

Madison Bumgarner is coming to the South Bay this week to start two games for the San Jose Giants as part of his rehab for a left shoulder injury he suffered earlier this season.The 2014 World Series MVP is scheduled to pitch Wednesday in San Jose's Class A California League game against the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes at 7 p.m. then again July 10 against the Modesto Nuts at 7 p.m., according to the San Jose Giants website. Fourth of July Festivities Around the Bay Area Bumgarner had a brief stint with San Jose early in his professional career, making five starts and posting a 3-1 mark in 2009 before being promoted to San Francisco in September of that year.Bumgarner was injured while dirt biking during an off-day in Colorado in April. He has missed more than two months of the season and is not expected to rejoin the San Francisco Giants until early August.
