The San Francisco Giants' hunt for outfield power is prompting trade talks with the Pittsburgh Pirates about five-time All-Star Andrew McCutchen, MLB.com reported early Thursday. McCutchen, 31, is due to make $14.75 million in 2018 after the Pirates picked up his option in early November. The MLB.com report indicated that the Giants are reluctant to part with highly regarded prospects, as their December deal to acquire third baseman Evan Longoria from the Tampa Bay Rays forced them to part with young infielder Christian Arroyo.
