The Giants placed starter Chris Stratton on the paternity list prior to Wednesday's game, as the 27-year-old right-hander headed home to Mississippi to join his wife, Martha Kate, for the birth of the couple's second child. In a corresponding move, reliever Roberto Gomez was recalled from Triple-A Sacramento.
