Pablo Sandoval broke the game open with a two-run single in the 16th inning to lift the Giants to a 6-3 win over the Marlins. San Francisco's early runs came on homers from Andrew McCutchen and Mac Williamson, and reliever Ty Blach tossed 6 2/3 scoreless innings in extras after starter Dereck Rodriguez also went 6 2/3 frames, yielding two runs. Miami starter Dan Straily recorded a season-high seven strikeouts over five innings, and reliever Elieser Hernandez also went five frames. Lewis Brinson sent the game to extras with a sac fly in the ninth, while JT Riddle notched a solo homer and Bryan Holaday hit an RBI single.
