Giants unable to overcome shaky Stratton

A day after learning Pablo Sandoval would miss the rest of the season with a torn hamstring, the Giants were faced with the possibility of another key loss Friday. Not only was right-hander Chris Stratton knocked around in his first start since July 3 in a 6-3 defeat to the D-backs at Chase Field, catcher Buster Posey was removed from the game to be watched for concussion symptoms.
