The Giants had a lot going for them Monday night, including Dereck Rodriguez's smooth seven-inning effort and Brandon Crawford's typically exceptional effort. The Houston Astros countered with their World Series-winning vibe, as Marwin Gonzalez launched a three-run homer off Giants closer Will Smith in the ninth inning to give Houston a 3-1 decision.
