After Bonds ceremony, Blach to battle Bucs

After what promises to be an emotional ceremony during which all-time home run leader Barry Bonds' jersey No. 25 will be retired, the Giants will resume the business of striving for a postseason spot when they entertain the Pittsburgh Pirates at 6:05 p.m. PT. Left-hander Ty Blach, who began the season in the starting rotation before moving to the bullpen in late May, is expected to start for the Giants. He'll be opposed by right-hander Trevor Williams (9-8).
