Hanson’s defense stands out in loss to Mets

Alen Hanson looked impressive even as the Giants fell to the New York Mets. Performing an accurate impersonation of shortstop Brandon Crawford, who rested a sore left knee for the third consecutive game, Hanson made several difficult defensive plays besides tripling and scoring San Francisco's lone run in the third inning. Mets right-hander Noah Syndergaard struck out 11 in his first Major League complete game.
