Texas Rangers pitcher Luke Farrell sustained a broken jaw when he was hit by a batted ball in an 0-0 tie with the San Francisco Giants in a pre-season game in Arizona on Saturday. After receiving attention from medical personnel from both teams, Farrell was taken to a hospital across the street from Scottsdale Stadium. The team said Farrell underwent a CT scan and X-rays which revealed the non-displaced fracture.
