The San Francisco Giants acquired left-handed reliever Williams Jerez from the Los Angeles Angels in exchange for right-handed starter Chris Stratton, the Giants announced late Monday evening. Jerez, who turns 27 in May, made his big league debut with the Angels last season, posting a 6.00 ERA in 15 innings across 17 appearances, striking out 15 batters. In 7 1/3 innings during spring training, he allowed two runs (2.45 ERA) on seven hits and six walks with six strikeouts.
