Baltimore Orioles first baseman Chris Davis tied a MLB record for futility on Monday after going 0-for-46 at the plate. Davis went hitless in his first two at-bats against the Oakland Athletics and is now amid a poor run, dating back to September 14. Eugenio Velez also went hitless in 46 straight at-bats with the San Francisco Giants and Los Angeles Dodgers from 2010-11.
