Drew Pomeranz's eight-run outing on Friday was a bit stunning given how quickly he gave back a 5-0 lead. The starting staff just finished the worst month in San Francisco Giants history, posting a 7.32 ERA that was the highest in any single month since the franchise moved to San Francisco in 1958. Pomeranz was the main culprit, allowing 22 runs in 10 1/3 innings, but nobody was immune as Giants starters gave up 96 earned runs over 118 innings.
