Mets activate Cano from IL

New York Mets second baseman Robinson Cano will return from the 10-day injured list to play in Wednesday night's game against the visiting San Francisco Giants. Cano has been sidelined since May 22 due to a strained left quadriceps. New York designated outfielder Aaron Altherr for assignment to clear a roster opening.
