Dereck Rodriguez pitched three-hit ball over seven innings, Evan Longoria drove in four runs and the San Francisco Giants cruised past the Arizona Diamondbacks 7-0 on Thursday night in Phoenix. Rodriguez (5-6), called up from Triple-A Sacramento earlier in the day, retired the first 11 batters before Eduardo Escobar singled softly to right field in the fourth. The 27-year-old Rodriguez, who had been sent down multiple times this season due to ineffectiveness, struck out four and walked one.
