The NL wild-card race is heating up, so it's only fitting the Giants find themselves in the desert. After taking the first game of a four-game set against the Arizona Diamondbacks on Thursday, the Giants will hand the ball to Jeff Samardzija on Friday. Bruce Bochy's club currently sits just 3 1/2 games out of the second wild-card spot, but they have three teams in front of them, so there is work to do.
