Giants sign P Gausman, acquire INF Cozart from Angels

The San Francisco Giants signed free agent right-hander Kevin Gausman to a one-year contract and traded for veteran infielder Zack Cozart on Tuesday. The Gausman deal is for a reported $9 million, with up to $1 million in escalating bonuses if he makes up to 30 starts. The 28-year-old pitched for Atlanta and Cincinnati last season, posting a combined record of 3-9 with a 5.72 ERA in 102 1/3 innings.
