San Francisco Giants make confusing first-round pick at 2020 MLB Draft

Which makes the Giants' first-round pick in Wednesday night's MLB Draft all the more confusing. The Giants grabbed Patrick Bailey, a catcher from North Carolina State, with the 13th pick in the MLB Draft. As a college catcher, Bailey's path to the Majors is relatively short. And catchers aren't exactly like shortstops or center fielders — catchers generally do not have much positional flexibility. It seems that Bailey and Bart are in direct conflict with one another.
