The 34-year-old third baseman, an instrumental part of three San Francisco World Series championships — including in 2012 when he was World Series MVP — has been a shell of his former self this season, batting .220 with one home run and six RBIs in 82 at-bats. That's a far cry from last season, when he managed to put together a fairly impressive stat line and a positive Wins Above Replacement (WAR) number before undergoing Tommy John surgery.
