Whenever the Dodgers come to town, things are bound to heat up between the longtime baseball rivals, and the fans. And after two games of the three-game series, the Giants and their fans are coming up short. On Friday, Los Angeles starting pitcher Trevor Bauer angered San Francisco color commentator Mike Krukow after Bauer sheathed an imaginary sword after an inning-ending strikeout in the fourth. "That's weak," Krukow responded as NBC Sports Bay Area went to commercial. The Giants lost the game 2-1. Then, on Saturday, the Dodgers' Max Muncy took his time admiring his second-ever splash home run, a base-rounding trot similar to one that angered then-Giants pitcher Madison Bumgarner in 2019. And to cap things off, a Giants fan was caught on TV missing (very badly) a right-field homer hit by Dodgers catcher Austin Barnes. SF lost again to LA, this time 6-3. Former Dodger Jerry Hairston Jr. posted the video, saying: "How things are going in the bay." Not well, Jerry, at least so far this weekend. The Giants get one more chance at redemption, with SF's Anthony DeSclafani (4-1, 2.03 ERA) facing LA's Julio Urias (6-1, 3.04 ERA) on Sunday at 1:05 p.m. at Oracle Park.
