Jackrabbits froze at the sound of Melky Cabrera's blast, andyou'd have sworn it was bound for the distant sagebrush. That's howthe Giants -Dodgers game began Tuesday, with Cabrera's titanic homer off left-hander Ted Lilly, and when heswitched around to the left side later in the game, Cabrera homeredagain. There's a lot to like about the Giants , who beat the Dodgers 8-4. Bythe end of each exhibition game, they've given fans a healthy doseof power, pitching, defense and speed. It's not an immaculatemural, but the Giants have drawn up a handsometemplate for the coming season, one that seems destined forlate-summer contention at the very least.
