The San Francisco Giants sent shockwaves through the baseball world on Sunday evening when they acquired one of the league's most prolific hitters, Rafael Devers, from the Boston Red Sox in exchange for Jordan Hicks, Kyle Harrison, James Tibbs III, and Jose Bello. Devers had been at odds with the Red Sox coaching staff and front office after being removed from his usual role at third base and shifted to designated hitter ahead of the season. Following his final game with Boston on Sunday, Devers was batting .272 with 15 home runs, 58 RBIs, and a strong .905 OPS — good for 12th in the majors.
