The Giants’ farm system is on the rise, and could continue to receive more national notoriety this season. Led by top prospect and first baseman Bryce Eldridge, who enjoyed a cup of coffee with the big-league team in September of last season, San Francisco’s crop of young talent will be highlighted over the next few years by shortstops Josuar Gonzalez and Luis Hernández, the two best international hitting prospects signed by the Giants in each of the last two seasons.
