Sadowski?

I said this is the other thread.. Sadowski is a career minor leaguer who really was not even on the radar. His numbers were not as good as Pucetas. He got brought up first because they needed someone right away and Pucetas had just pitched in Fresno. Then Sadowski pitched great and they kept him up.

It is very rare that a pitcher with less than steller stats in the minors can come up and be very good at the MLB level. I think Sadowski has mediocre stuff and will never be more than marginal. Just my opinion after watching him throw ( even when he had a couple good games)

I would definitley give the kid another chance though to redeem himself. While I dont think he is going to be the long term answer for this team I do think that he deserves 1 more start. If he gets hammered then I would send him down and call up Pucetas.
everyone has there off daysss

I agree with this completely. Sadowski pitched well in his first two games, and I'm sure the fact that he was pumped to be in the big leagues and trying to prove himself factored in, as well as the fact that he was unknown to hitters. He definitely has mediocre stuff, a below average fastball, and control problems lately. I read somewhere that he'll be starting this weekend against the Rockies. That will be a HUGE test, if he gets hammered again, I see no way he won't get sent down.

His next start is going to be a huge test for him

If he can pitch well against the Rockies at Coors, I'll be all for keeping him in the rotation for another start.
screw it. call up Bumgarner. what do we have to lose?

top prospects are always super hard to hit right away. if Johnson isnt coming back from his injury soon, why not call up Bumgarner and let him fool the pants off NL hitters for a few starts.

The only thing that would be a risk is to hurt the kids confidence. I am at the point ,however, that I wouldnt mind seeing him come up. This is a complete change from my thinking earlier in the year when I said that in no way should they rush this kid up.
i want bumgarner to pitch until he is 1 inning before the limit
so next year he can be rookie of the year :D
I'm sure another reason why the Giants would not call him up now is the financial ramifications. They do not want to start his major league service sooner than they need to as this speeds up his ability to go to arbitration and then free agency.
i poop sadowskis
