seriously... wow. Alderson?? I can't believe we got the shaft from the Pirates of all teams. I guess after all the rape jobs they've received in the past they could be on the other end of one for once. Just was hoping it wasn't at the Giants expense.
I really liked the idea of obtaining Sanchez(and still like Sanchez) but this was just to much for him.
I just hope us Giants fans don't take this out on Sanchez and we receive him with open arms. This is definitely the end of Sabean. Thank God.

UPDATE 6:46 p.m.: Class AA pitcher Tim Alderson is the return.
6:58 p.m.: Alderson, a 6-foot-6 right-hander, was the Giants' No. 4 prospect entering this season, according to Baseball America, and that is saying something considering San Francisco's system is highly regarded for pitching. He also was rated No. 9 among all right-handed starting prospects in the game. He was 7-2 with a 3.65 ERA split between Class A and AA so far this year.

lmao, we traded our fourth best prospect for Freddy Sanchez. Alderson is better than anything the Phillies gave up to get Cliff Lee, he's better than any propsect who was rumored to be traded for Roy Halladay.
